SHIPPING POLICY

At The Carat Creations, we are committed to delivering our premium lab-grown diamonds and fine jewellery securely and efficiently to customers across India and around the globe. This Shipping Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and procedures related to the shipment of your orders.

  1. Shipping & Handling Charges

At The Carat Creations, we proudly ship our lab-grown jewellery worldwide.

Domestic Orders (India)

  • Shipping Charges: We offer free shipping on all orders within India.
  • Courier Partners: Blue Dart, Sequel Logistics, Ecom Express.

International Orders:

  • Shipping Charges : Customers are responsible for paying shipping and handling charges, which are calculated based on the destination and added at checkout.
  • Duties and Taxes : Customs duties and VAT/GST, Import taxes must be paid directly to the logistics partner upon delivery. All international shipments are processed under the Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) policy. If an order is returned to the origin due to non-acceptance, the customer will be liable for both freight costs (round trip shipping costs) and any applicable import duties.
  • Courier Partners: UPS, FedEx, or other reliable international logistics providers.

 

  1. Delivery Locations:

We only deliver to verifiable addresses:

  • Accepted delivery addresses: Residential addresses, Office/commercial premises, Authorized Carat Creations showrooms
  • Unacceptable delivery locations: Hotels, hostels, restaurants, public places, or undefined addresses, PO Boxes, army base addresses, or temporary event venues

  1. Delivery to the Identified Person

For security and regulatory compliance, we require recipient verification at the time of delivery. To ensure smooth delivery, customers must provide any one of the following valid recipient details at the time of order placement:

  • Consignee’s full Legal name (matching as per their government-issued photo ID)
  • Complete delivery address, nearby landmark, postal code, and mobile number
  • Accepted ID Proofs (Any One Required): Passport, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driver’s License
  1. Identity Verification at Delivery:
  • At the time of delivery, recipients must present one of the original identity proofs listed above to the Courier agent. The courier agent may request verification, and customers are expected to cooperate fully to ensure a secure and smooth delivery process.
  • This process ensures that the order reaches the correct recipient and reduces the risk of fraud or unauthorized acceptance.
  • Refusal to comply may result in failed delivery or return of the order to our facility.

 

  1. Handling of Tampered Packages:

Your order is carefully packaged and sealed before dispatch. If a package appears to be opened or damaged or tampered with, customers should reject it and report the issue immediately to the email address [email protected].

Note for international customers: Some packages may be marked “Opened for Customs” as part of standard international shipping procedures. This does not indicate tampering.

 

  1. Delivery Attempts & Returns (Non-Delivery):

If the recipient is unavailable, the courier company will make two additional delivery attempts (Total Three Delivery Attempts). If all attempts fail, the product will be returned to The Carat Creations facility. Re-delivery may require payment of additional shipping charges.

 

  1. Change in Delivery Address

If your order has not yet been dispatched, you can request a change in the delivery address through the following channels:

Note: Address changes cannot be made once the order has been dispatched. Please ensure all shipping details are accurate at the time of placing your order.

 

  1. Customs Clearance for International Orders :

All international Jewellery shipments originating from India require clearance from the Indian Customs Office. Products are submitted for inspection, examination, and assessment before being shipped to your address.

If your package includes a label stating “Opened for Customs”, it is part of the standard customs process— please ignore any messages advising against accepting tampered packages.  It does not reflect tampering or mishandling.

 

  1. Estimated Delivery Timelines:

Delivery times may vary depending on destination, product availability, and local customs processing. The region wise estimated delivery time shall be as follows :
